Given the results in the poll so far then, why do so many people want 'toys not tools' when new apps come along? I mean, take the recent fanfare over the Angry Birds Space release. When it came out most were disappointed but then started asking about other games and drooling like kids.
I was actually thinking of starting a poll like this just to have something to send to RIM that may help them see what their target demographic truly is.

Now, the million dollar (almost literally) question: Will RIM see this and use it?

That may have been so a couple of hundred years ago, but when viewed from space today, the British Empire has been reduced to a pimple on the face of the globe.

For all this gender/sex discussion. please see here. There are two opinions on the matter, with Chief Justices of the United States sitting on differing sides.
Supreme Court Justice Antony Scalia, in an attempt to clarify usage of the terms has written (J.E.B., 1994) "The word gender has acquired the new and useful connotation of cultural or attitudinal characteristics (as opposed to physical characteristics) distinctive to the sexes. That is to say, gender is to sex as feminine is to female and masculine is to male," According to Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, however, the words are interchangeable. She relates that she used them in composing her legal briefs about sex/gender related matters so the word sex would not appear on every page. Supposedly her secretary encouraged this saying: "Don't you know those nine men [on the Supreme Court, when ] they hear that word and their first association is not the way you want them to be thinking." (Case, 1995)

Anyway this is not the point of the poll. If you dont like the terminology on this (far from) scientific poll, then move on. It is useless to complain.
