    The server is down for any Playbook updates. So I cannot get past the setup to use the PlayBook. OTA and Link, neither work becuase of this. Can anyone provide a working link to an Autoloader? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Been trying to connect to Blackberry World on my PlayBook since this morning with no luck, i think it has something to do with the new OS roll-out.

    I found the BBLeaks version of OS 2.1.0.1753. I uploaded it below. Trying it now to see if I can get the PlayBook working.

    Let us know if it works out. It has been a while since I setup a Playbook and can't remember if you can skip the check for updates when setting up if already on 2.1.0.1753.

    What about a restore from a backup in your desktop manager, or Link if that is what you are using?

    That would imply that I actually had a backup. Plus, this is a PlayBook for my brother, so the BBID is different. I think restoring a backup to another device will only work if the BBID is the same.

    Great idea though. Might work for someone who does perform routine backups.

    I just tried blackberry world last night from the US and it was working (not just connecting to it, but downloaded and installed an app as well).

    But the update servers were still down as of last night. This morning will be day #3 if they are still down.

    Day 3?! I mean they occasionally had BIS or BBM outages in the past, but this is absurd. Is anyone listening at BlackBerry? Or should everyone who purchased a Playbook in the last few days tolerate having an expensive paperweight until someone wakes up over there?
