Playbook Thoughts
Bought my playbook a month or so ago when RIM dropped the price, got an open box 16 gig for $180 + tax. At that price I find it to be a great buy. My brother in law bought 3 for his family at Christmas and we used the chat feature(which works fantastic). You can't beat it for the price. It was a fairly low price for me to get into the tablet market to see if it was something that I could use. I really like it and am glad I didn't spend the $500 for an Ipad.
I use it as primarily as a web surfer and find it to work great. I wanted something small and easy to check my email when away from home and it performs this function admirably.
The only downside to it is the lack of apps, but I am hoping that the strong sales with the price drop will encourage more developers to create more apps for it. I hope RIM keeps up its support and it doesn't become an orphaned device.
The only issue I had was a wonky wifi but I seem to have narrowed it down to the way my router is hooked up to my TV, and I have a work around for it(if my TV is on that goes through my router I can't use my wifi).

Glad to hear your happy with your playbook, I'm enjoying mine too. Even though the consistent crashing of the browser really makes me mad sometimes, I will endure, as I have endured(lotr reference btw), until the almighty february update which fill it with with jesus powers. And provide bug fixes.

Funny, I've never had a browser crash although I've only had my PB for a month or so. Perhaps you are having inconsistent wifi problems?
Did you read through the Tips and Tricks sticky above? Lots of great info there and you might just find out something you missed in your setup etc.

I really like mine too. Only been since Christmas but never a crash. The issue i have had was when i tried to use it online through bridge pages nevdr would load. But to be fair i was not able to open them on my phone either so maybe there was carrier issues. i know it did work good a different day i needed it. Anyway i like the size and the way it works quite enjoyi g it. wish it typed like my phone i will learn to use caps i guess

thank you rim

My only regret regarding my PB is that I should've gone with a 64GB. Have you guys taken videos with it? That's the first thing that blows people away, the quality of the camera. Enjoy my friends, it keeps getting better and better!

Agree - I picked up the 16gb version just before Christmas in the sales in the uk, and as one of my main uses is viewing movies my only regret is not picking up a 32gb version although these were sold out at the time and the 64 was out of my price range.
Have to say for the ££ spent the value is second to none compare to a kindle or kobo reader with such less functionality absolute bargain.

I'm in the UK and have bought a 32Gb PB for 199 on line from Dixons which seems ridiculous to me. Can't wait for it to arrive now, but I'm kind of nervous in case they've run out! When you compare that price to an iPod for example, it's just a no brainer.
