I've been thinking that Blackberry could come up with some better slogans.
I like this. "If you need and App for that, then need a new device"
Or " If you don't have a playbook, you need to buy an app for that"
Having been on an iphone and ipad previously it angers me when i see the constant apple ads on tv because needing an app to replace browser functionality is backwards and leads to a worse experience.
How about something really simple, and is very obvious, perhaps "if you don't have a playbook, then you don't have a playbook"? Oh wait, that was already used.
"What's in your Playbook?" followed by a series of shorts about what you could find in like Vince Lombardi's playbook and other famous professionals...
I like this one a lot. I can picture the commercial; people doing all kinds of activities, work, play, etc. And having their PB with them the whole time. Kind of like the video someone submitted for the BB Biggest Fan thing...

*Except for independent multiple browser sessions, auto correct, spell check, easier cursor placement and manipulation, proper synching of read and unread mail messages between the phone and bridged Playbook, set a reminder on the Playbook for a task via bridge, better bluetooth, bbm groups, file browser for selecting files recognizing folders, customizing folders/tabs on main screen, reliable wifi for 802.11 a/b/g/n, actual im clients other than bbm like yahoo or msn or aol, an actual twitter app, a better music player, ability to deliver device name with ip address when authenticating with a router so that you can open the device in your network manager instead of having to know it's ip address, faster boot time, an android player that is invisible to the user so that an icon for a Playbook app and an icon for an android app can be on the desktop, activated, and it's app comes up in a sepaate window independent of any player, and a native PIM that's not part of the OS but available in the App Store as a free download just in case you find the bridge apmle for your use and you don't want to use your Playbook's storage to hold yet another copy of your PIM data. But it does include Pete Yorn
This device really should have been called the BlackBook. Waaaaaaay cooler, links back to the brand, and refers to privacy (your "little black book" of secrets and phone numbers )
In the morning the guy's in Australia climbing a rock face checking the email from his girlfriend
Then he's in a speeding taxi on his way to the airport, using the PB to show the driver he's off course
On the plane he's reading and gaming and listening to music and singing out loud
He lands in New York where a passing thief swipes the PB from his hands, he whips-out the BBphone and throws it at the running thief, knocking him out cold and recovering the PB, he phones the police while surfing the net for the nearest hotel
Later he goes to a restaurant to meet his girlfriend and they go back to his room to HD video record their wild sex session.
This has to be better than current commercials of a guy sitting at the table surfing the net, whoa, whoever thought of that idea for a commercial should quit his day job.
