Is it normal that when I'm using the playbook, the screen occasionally starts to dim? But after 5 seconds it becomes the normal color again.

It may be the auto dim or backlight timeout you're seeing. Check out the settings under screen in your options.

I see that from time to time with my PlayBook sitting in the charging cradle. The reason is because it's in front of me, just below my LCD monitor (which is raised up a bit), and my head is between it and a light bulb in the ceiling. When I happen to move my head enough to one side as I shift around in my seat, the light sensor may suddenly "see" the light more directly and dim the screen, then brighten it again.

Drove me nuts, until I figured out what it was and turned off Auto-Dim for "Plugged in" mode only.

Thank you I was wondering since I found it really annoying when it constantly happens 2 or 3 times a minute.
