last night i backed up my pic and vids form the device cause i didnt want to lose them if something happened to the playbook. I was having browser crashes the last few days and figured i'd back up, wipe, restore... I was wrong!! I couldnt restore the file and i thought i was typing the encryption password incorrectly. I wasnt.

so after two hours+ today with blackberry customer care, it wasn't the password. the whole file was corrupted. 1000 photos and 25+ videos - gone. long story short, back up manually. dont use the DM. Open up the pb's drive and manually remove the files. don't trust the software!!!!

That's what I always do! A Manual back-up, as well as DTM. just in case it falls. I can always download my app's and games again, but you can't replace memorable pictures of family or friends that was taken at a special time or day.
