why should there be any difference? most apps don't care if the phone is touch or not

because the touch keyboard would cover half the screen, thus reducing the area for the remote control greatly

My understanding is that the remote will work with all os6 and os7 phones. Not sure about os5.

My guess is that the whole screen will be the remote control and /if/ you wanted the keyboard for input, you would have to manually bring it up with the menu key. The advantage to this would be that you could use the keyboard in either portrait or landscape modes. The alternatives are: 1. force portrait mode and split the screen between remote and keyboard, which limits the remote area and forces the smaller portrait keyboard, and 2. force landscape mode and have a very awkward sized remote area with landscape keyboard.
