Ugh, "Playbook" (the name) doesn't appeal to me at all.

I really still don't see too much wrong with the name considering its dictionary definition.

Blackboard's an interesting suggestion, but I think that simplifies it too much and I recall reading on the Crackberry blogs and kind of agree that RIM would be foolish to take the name Blackberry and slice it in half.

I agree, even Apple is not stupid enough to reuse their brand name with some kind of noun. AppleBook, ApplePod, AppleTV, ApplePad, AppleTunes would sound silly.

Perhaps because Apple has admitted that AppleTV is a "hobby", they chose to differentiate it from all their "i" products which sell in far higher numbers.

Lovely, necromancing an old thread that has outlived its usefullness by way of poll results with a first post which smacks of spam. Thread needs to be locked down or moved to rehab.
