I was wandering around today when i saw a best buy and i tought I'll go in to check out the new iPad, for me it wasn't that big of a deal.... Same stuff as the iPad. 2, but then i went to take a look to the playbook, they where advertising OS 2.0 but when i took a look at the price it was 499$ for the 16 GB version and 599$ for the 32 GB, no 64 GB tho... But does this means the prices went up again?
I think because the new Playbook 4G is coming out soon and retailers are not stocking the current playbook or that RIM no longer give them manufacturer's rebate.
All in all, if you want to get a cheap playbook, maybe eBay is your answer
Maybe because of the "new" iPad has something to do with this? Pushing customers away from the Playbook by showing the old prices so that they walk away from it and they would think "why would I buy this over the new iPad?". Bestbuy has always been sketchy from the start when I comes to the Playbook and idk why. Non working display models, software not up to date, not connected to wifi while all the other tablets are, ect.

Thats totally true... In the best buys i went the playbook was always non functional, like a week or 2 later, it was working but software not up to date and without wifi....
The best buy i went today it was a lot better, cuz it had the OS 2, it had advertising about OS 2, some cards and stuff... Tho not as big as apple or galaxy stuff.... Tho the only bad thing it had no wifi so u couldnt check the brower
