Bought the 16gb on monday only too realise it has alot of green and red dots at the top of the screen and a few spreading down the side this is when the boot up blackberry sign comes on. I took it to the shop this afternoon but they could not see any it was very bright in the shop though. Should i take it to another shop tonight and that will possibly show up better ? Has anyone had the same problem.

It sounds like you may have some stuck pixels--which is a defect. You should download "Screen Helper" from the appstore (the free version) -- that app contains pure color screens which will make the stuck pixels much easier to detect and show to the person at the shop.

I had a some stuck pixels and exchanged it with Amazon.

    That's not right.
Rim should do an exchange for you. They have an advanced exchange program which will send you a new PB then you return yours.

Yep think i am going to have to take this further. Phoned blackbery and they asked me to send them an image by pressing - and + on a picture but that doesnt really show anything you actually need to see it in person

If it's a pixel problem it shouldn't show on a screenshot.

I would call back and speak to someone else. Maybe they are trying to determine if the problem is the LCD or something else. Either way they should exchange it.
