I installed the Blackberry desktop software but every time i connect my PB to my Windows 7 PC it makes the connection sound then it disconnects own it's own and the BB desktop software wont launch the program.

Can anyone help ? I'm at a total loss here

Make sure wifi is off on PB and reboot your playbook it should load the drivers.

what to you mean it won't launch?

yea. its strange. With my pb connected or not the deskopt blackberry program wont launch. i double click on it and nothing happens. My pc is only a year old.

Sounds to me like something went wonky when installing the desktop manager. If it were me I would uninstall then reinstall the desktop manager(guess its called desktop server now?). You need the drivers from DM for your PC to recognize the PB, otherwise it will just fail on loading the drivers.

I had the same issue. I checked the storage and sharing drop down menu and changed it to connect to windows. Everything recognizes each other and all is well. Hope this helps.
