In Canada here. Was on .358 and missed the update to .668 ealier in the summer before it was pulled. On the 19th I got the .668 update notice at 469 MB. It would download but not install. This was solved by doing a wipe and update went well. Just doing the restore now. I have a PB at work running .358 as well. It did not show an update after checking for one. Go figure...

I have two Playbooks a 32GB which was running 2.0.1.668. today it showed a software update availible to 2.0.1.668 of 1mb. The other playbook 64gbg runs 2.0.1.358 which showed a software update availible to 2.0.1.358 of32mb. The 32mb was purchased last year and the 64mbs was purchased at the begining of September. On updating the 64gb for the first time on start up it would only update to 2.0.1.358. Anyone know why? Or is RIM just satilising everything before 2.1?

I had the 1 MB update too, this morning (thinking at the first that it was the 2.1 update). Maybe it was delivered because recognized me as a developer (or something like that), now that my BB ID is used to login into del Beta Zone...What the is going on there, RIM?

I did the update (1M) and the only thing I noticed is the Bug Reporter (which I cannot login as I am not registered). I am not developer, but had updated to .668 in the past (no troubles so far). What does it means this bug reporter icon? Any other news?

Same here, and the first thing I noticed is a PLayBook bug reporter app installed on my PB. this is at least an indication of better things coming I hope. Location Malaysia.
Edit; looks like I'm not the only one. I have to believe this means the big show will follow shortly. Bring on 2.1!!

Yes, they gave the update to us also. It was only 1 MB but I guess that they are trying to really level us out as you said. I had the .668 since the first time it came out.

Maybe they're testing pushing certain updates to certain devices based on some set of parameters.
They're going to have to be good at that if their 'master plan' come true, ie push updates to only 2012 dodge chargers qnx who have a blackberry.

It could be as simple as a batch of PlayBooks flagged for RIM employees got released into the retail channels and these PlayBooks are getting the new Bug tracking APP. It looked like you needed to have a RIM email address to submit a bug.

I've had my pb for a year, have been on .668 since it was first released, and I got nada. Who knows why RIM does what RIM does.

Why bother with those official 2.0 OS, the beta version of 2.1.0.840 is way better than the official release.
