    I have been using video chat between a classic and a playbook for several months. Since the last update of BBM yesterday, evertime I try to call my playbook contact, I get this message "You might need to share a passphrase again to make BBM Protected Video Call".

    Thanks for replying. I didn't even know BBM protected existed until yesterday, so I seriously doubt I did use it.

    I have exactly then same problem and I subscribed to BBM Protected.

    Is your BB10 device administrated by your company or is it private?
    If your device is your private phone, and if you have never subscribed to BBM Protected, then it must be indeed a bug.

    It is my private phone. I'm pretty sure I haven't subscribed to BBM protected. I suppose it's not possible that I did it without realising.

    A bug!? Didn't even know this was possible on BB.

    Same problem here. I use PlayBook video call to call my mom PlayBook from my Z30. I wish I never upgraded BBM....

    Then there are two possibilities left

    a) your contact is using BBM Protected

    b) it's just a compatibility bug... because the PlayBook is no longer supported for almost two years now

    Note, if the text field in BBM says in blue colour "Protected. Enter message", then either you or your contact is definitely using BBM Protected.
    And in case of BBM Protected you need a passphrase to verify each contact's ID (= public key) once.

    I have the sam problem and I don't use BBM protected, I think that is an OS problem, I'm o Z30STA100-5/10.3.2.2876, does anyone know a solution to this problem?
