Android is irrelevant to the Fire. The UI is like no other tablet, it could be running anything underneath.
Have you tried bezel swiping on the fire ? Playbook's UI is like no other tablet either.
Runs QNX underneath and it's very clear when you have 5 apps open at once - all visible at the same time when minimized, each actively and visibly doing their thing simultaneously.
It's a beautiful sight.

What does that have to do with the fact that the Fire does not have the normal Android UI experience??
(...but since you mention it, bezel swiping sure is like webOS)
yeah, so.... according to that article, there are some pretty awesome features still locked up inside our playbooks. i wanna see fm transmit and receive and bluetooth 3.0 in the os 2 update. also, wifidirect looks pretty awesome and would be a game changer in the tab market imo
