I had a problem with my playbook not connecting to my wifi when I got it. It took me almost 2 days. I just thought I should help someone out that may have experience the similar problem.


When trying to acquire connection my playbook would fail to locate ip address. Tired it many times no luck. Even though my phone and laptop did not give me that problem when trying to connect; what I forgot to do was to unplug the router for 10 seconds to refresh. After I did that bingo!

I hope I helped someone out with that similar problem.

Just had to do that today with the work wifi.

I couldn't connect to my work wifi hotspot. I was able to before. It kept getting stuck at aquiring address.

I deleted the last saved ssid and then I was able to log into my work wifi hotspot.

I recently toggled the 'enabled IPv6' (in the menu where you enter the wifi password) while attempting to connect to the wifi at a hotel and had success acquiring an address. At home I dedicate one channel on the router exclusively for the PB. This helps when you run a busy wifi household!
