PlayBook native email and contact book seriously acting up (32gig)
My 32 gig playbook native email has stopped working and my contacts book is empty except for 3 manually entered addresses. My email is yahoo and PlayBook messages has a yellow triangle that says 'server for yahoo email is offline or incorrect, check settings'. I am able to access my yahoo email from google, so can't figure this out - it worked before. Is it possible for me to delete and reload the Playbook messages? I also cannot get the contacts book to download my email addresses from yahoo. Is there an 'add to contacts' button or option that I'm just not locating? I only own a playbook, no BBphone. Please help

To set up Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) on your mobile device, please use the following settings:
Incoming Server - imap.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing Server - smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Incoming Port - 993 (requires SSL)
Outgoing Port - 465 (requires SSL/TLS)
User name: full email address (for example, [email protected] or [email protected])
Password: the password you log in to Yahoo! with.
Note: If your Yahoo! Mail address does not match your Yahoo! ID, you will need to use the beginning of your Yahoo! Mail address when you set up your client. For example, if your Yahoo! Mail address is "[email protected]", but your Yahoo! ID is "james", you will need to use "jim" as your user name when setting up the IMAP client.

I don't have a yahoo account, so I didn't test it.
If that doesn't work, delete the account all together and set it again (and use advanced settings so you can input everything exactly as written above)... sometimes that helps.
Also, as for synching the contacts, when you are setting it up there should be an option to "Sync Email", "Sync Contacts" and "Sync Calendar". Make sure the contacts one is set to "On". Same can be for Calendar if you want that synched too.
If you set it up, the email works, but forget to turn on the sync; you can go into your settings (gear icon on the main screen's time bar) and select "Accounts" from the left column, select the yahoo email address and the options will be under the password box.
