I believe it was a nucular sub and he was/is a goober man from Plains, Georgia. And I also went to one of the schools he attended.
Ok I know I'm going to regret this but I just have to know. What was the president of the USA doing in a nuclear sub driving around under the Black Sea?

Only ever took one semi important person up for a jolly and we had that many fighters escorting us that it was difficult to find clean air. The only slight error I made was to climb a little higher than the escorts could manage and to be honest it didn't warrant the reaction from command. We were only off radar for about twenty mins and it sounded like I had the muppets Christmas show being played through my headset. My simple answer was "well if you can't see us then nobody else can so he was completely safe then". Didn't work but there you go. Strangely enough I wasn't asked to jolly specials around again after that.

Just don't sit between your wifi router, your pb and your cell phone.
F2, I thought all these devices emitted in all directions. You're exposed wherever you sit, aren't you?

I don't think we can do anything but prevention regarding that issue.

Like using holster instead of pocket. Like using speaker option or earphones when using the phone.

With a glass of red wine at hand.

    My view on this.

Like make sure you have a case that attaches to your belt for the phone, that you use only when out, otherwise, place cell on a surface, try to not hold the device with your hands or on your knees, in other words, gain those millimeters, just in case, and doing it without any stress, type preventive behavior. I also use the speaker on my phone (or headsets) whenever possible.

The Z10 had a warning that said the same thing. All devices emit radio signals and therefore are radioactive. Use a holster and protect your nuts! Or ovaries if you are female.

I thought this needed reviewing but I prefered to take advantage of the sunny afternoon rather than clarifying my post. Sorry! My first language is French I'm afraid it didn't help with clarity. BTW Wine was not involved. Then.

    To be concise:

Prevention is the key. Reduce exposure just in case. And drink red wine it prevents cancer. That better ol' man?

I can see why they include the warning. It probably is not as shielded as a smartphone would be.

In other words "No Phablet for yoooouuuu!" ;-)

If a smart phone is "well shielded" how does it transmit and receive signals? Are you saying that in the position you normally hold it to listen there is substantial shielding on the transmitter in your direction ? The incoming signal is probably of pretty low intensity. And far as Wi-Fi how is it different than a tablet.

A few mm separation is not going to make much difference. Maybe take the door off your unusable microwave oven and put it in your lap to put the tablet on.

Also although red wine may contain cancer preventing agents it can lead to another big C particularly if high in alcohol. That is C of the L. Sorry to be a killjoy S_O_M.

I should have mentionned moderation. About the wine I mean. As with exposure to electromagnetic waves of all sorts, moderation is the key. S_O_M probably knows that already!

I like the idea of using a microwave oven door as a lap plateau. That would be a shield all right I guess. Not very design, but clever!

Yes, and you can look down through the window in the door and watch, ahem, certain items being cooked right before your tearing eyes!

That would end up on Youtube and the whole planet would be laughing along. Let me not be the first to try it!

(On a serious note, I bet ya in a few years they will have found something more about the health hazards and will manage to sell us expensive products to protect us. "Choose from the accessory section, for your protection." I would bet on this.)

To me, nicked requires a search in dictionary, but that's ok. It could an interesting addition to my culture.

It took me a while to understand about the ropes, but I think I got it. Beware of accusing poor innocent folks! Without GPS tracking, not sure you'd get anywhere You can put me at the very bottom of your list.

Try and catch me if you can! Pretty windy here...

Ggggrrrrrrrrr....... I have a hamster, two gerbils, two guinea pigs and too many Koi carp to count guarding my cellar so there. It's also been a while since I've been able to locate where I left my cellar last time so they haven't been fed. Best of luck and if you manage to get past them without being mauled to death, please send me the GPS coordinates for it!

That sir, sounds like the ingredients for a lovely stew.
    Molon labe?

Don't mourn the loss of your Audio Boost button. As far as I can tell, all it really does is add a bit of red background to the volume slider.
