Every time I plug my PB to my PC, it says I can't connect and asks me to reinstall the PB to factory settings. I also get a notification saying not all settings have been downloaded. I can't sync pics or music. Is there an error in the BlackBerry desktop software? Any tips? Thank you

You need to use BlackBerry Link instead of Desktop Manager.

...So I tried with BB desktop manager then BB link as and none of them work. I still keep getting the 'this is device is not connected and asking me to reconnect or reload to factory settings". Done this already several times that is is quite frustrating. Anyone out there with any other help tips. Thank you again

Try going into your setting and check storage and share file, ensure wifi share is off and turn your wifi off too. Ensure file sharing is on as well. You might want to check the usb connection to adjust from automatic detect to windows, if your running windows. This normally works for me.

If none of these ideas work, there is another thread somewhere that makes other suggestions, as some of us have had the same problem. Do make sure you're using the PlayBook's USB data cable, and not a phone's cable. Try changing USB ports on your computer. Turn the computer off, connect the PB, then see if it's recognized when you re-boot the computer. Are you using W7 or W8? Is the PB at least being recognized as a drive (usually Z) in Windows Explorer? If it isn't even getting that far, it might indicate a Windows driver problem.

Try rolling back the driver using Device Manager in Windows. If it's grayed out, then uninstall the driver and then reinstall it.
