My 64GB is difficult to get out of standby. Swiping the screen doesn't work and using the power button just results in the black screen getting brighter. Takes several jabs of power button to get screen.
Likewise, switching on takes quite a few presses of the power button.
And then I often get a negative screen, requires back to standby and switch on again.
Any ideas on how to fix.

    Could try a hard reset?
Press and hold the Power, Vol Down and Vol Up buttons all at the same time until you see the Rec LED flash... then release...

How long have you had this Playbook? If you have had the device for a long time and have many apps on it, you may benefit from a total re-do on the OS. I've had my Playbook for a few years (3) and recently reinstalled the OS with a clean slate. It was a huge boost in performance and well worth the effort. Slowly, I have been adding apps back on the device as I need them.
