I left PlayBook this morning on charging pod as usual when came back from office and tried using it showed setup screen like after security wipe. Had to update system. Sadly some apps I had are not longer available in app store.
    Did anyone have similar issue?

Not sure what happened there, but regarding the apps that are no longer in the app store -- check the "Uninstalled" tab and you should see at least some of them appear there. Good luck!

If you have dogs or cats, interrogate them. Torture them if you had to. If no luck, try to put a mouse trap. If you catch one, do the same interrogation. If still no luck, try to call a medium and let him do his stuff to find out if your house is possessed with something or whatever. If he said nothing, look him straight in the eyes and asked him again. If he blinks, interrogate him. Torture him if you have to. If still no luck, try investigating your neighbours. Install CCTV if you must to. If you suspect someone, invite him/her to your home. Be friendly as possible, let him see your PlayBook and observed his/her reaction. If he/she seems to be anxious and guilty, interrogate him/her. Torture him/her if you have to... there must be someone out there that causes your PlayBook to security wipe out its system and lost your apps and games.

And by the way, BlackBerry World for PlayBook is still active and online. You should still be able to download your previous apps and games if you are using the same BlackBerry ID... If you can't, well, call BlackBerry service centre... you know what to do... ;-)

If the OS gets corrupted, the Playbook will reboot and load a secondary copy of the OS. This is probably what happened.

Wow, I didn't know this. Will the BlackBerry 10 OS phones do the same thing?

It can barely do anything with user input, let alone on its own! *ba dum CHING*

Those days are not far when your PlayBook would transform by itself and show up in the next 'transformers movie.'
