Hi can anyone tell me if there is a work around for playing certain video within either BlackBerry browser or Origami?
After pressing Play it streams 5 seconds of video and then stops, throwing up a media player fault screen.
    Please Help?

Which site are you having trouble with playing video?

No guarantees, but some things you could try: From Origami, you could try changing browser agents (Chrome, Firefox, etc.) or switching between the desktop and mobile versions of the site. Some sites are also finicky about blocked ads, so another thing to try disabling.

It's a live Australian Football streaming site. I watched a whole game on my PlayBook one week and the following week it would only play 5 seconds then buffer before coming up with the media player message ( I pay a subscription and it's a legitimate site) annoyingly it plays fine on my wife's ipad grrrr!

Hmm, too bad it's not working now. There's an iPad user agent under the Origami settings. Try selecting that, then from the drop-down menu from the browser view, deselect "Desktop".

Also, perhaps try clearing your browser cache. A reboot for good measure never hurts either.

You may have to play around with these options a bit. Hopefully one of them will work out for you.

Try using one of the android browsers in app world, Maxthon or Dolphin. These browsers are not built on top of the Playbook's browser, as Origami and the other native browsers are, so they may work better for you.

I would try Dolphin too as I recently sideloaded a different version as a workaround to some playback issues in the native browser
