I was wondering how much control and/or access my corporate IT folks would have to a Playbook. I know that this device is stand alone but what happens when you bridge it with a Blackberry you've activated on a BES server. Once you've bridged the devices, does that now allow BES admins access permanently or only when your bridging the devices?
Unknown as not many BES admins have Playbooks yet but based on the IT policy pack that was released and I applied to our BES the only control is from Blackberry to Playbook:
- Allow logging to be uploaded (To RIM)
- Allow Blackberry Bridge
Considering anything you do via Bridge is really extended from your Blackberry to Playbook all current controls / supervision when working on Blackberry would apply.
Unsure what is captured in the logs which is one of the things we will explore from a forensic perspective over the next couple weeks.
