i get the same 96% at full charge, but i am not worried as i believe it may be a software issue. The battery itself has been excellent, due to its physical size it falls short of ipad 2 stats but 8 hours is still very good.
Unplugged it at noon, at 4pm I was at 54%. Heavy gaming and web browsing via wifi & bridged throughout the 4 hours. It'll probably last 8 hours on 1 charge. Probably won't ever hit 10 hours battery life unless RIM optimizes battery life more.
For reference, the iPad 2 gets around 11 hours on constant movie playback.
I never get more than 3 to 4 hours out of any BB or Iphone, I used the PB today under normal use, started at 8 am and it was dead at 3. I could not charge with my universal usb car charger, and Best Buy does not have any in stock that work for PB yet!
