For internal playback, it's 1024 X 600. It can output 1080p through HDMI, though, so it depends on how you want to watch your video.
the exact aspect ratio would be 16:9.375, but you can convert movies in 16:9, i don't think a few lines of of pixel missing would bother you
Yes it's almost a perfect widscreen aspect. There is a slight bar on the top and bottom if you are playing a 16/9 video.
Thanks for the clarification, everyone! I'm trying to convert an HD movie for my playbook-The aspect ratio of the movie is 1920x800.
Anyone have any suggested programs? I think I'm going to try out Freemake - looks like they just have a preset for the playbook.
I like handbrake.
What format is the movie currently in? Does it necessarily need to be converted?
The current format is .mkv. Unfortunately, I need to convert it for 2 reasons ...
1. It uses AC3 audio
2. The file is 15 gigs and my playbook is only the 16 gig model (definitely kicking myself for not going bigger)
