Every day I use my playbook for various work related tasks. Presentations, reading pdf files and compiling reports while my laptop is not accessible. I also check news and other information with it. Im not sure where the name play comes from, mines all work and no play!

I guess it's like Bad means Good. So Play means work Work. Young people and their funny way of talking.

Glad you are happy with the PB in your working life. What app or webservice do you use for presentations?

I always hear there's plenty of Play in this tablet (book), so it's actually good to hear about the professional side. My guess is that many of those that mainly use it for work related purposes may not show up here.

Sorry, I'm a lot more than an ant in an anthill. Your "society" will do just fine without my nose to its grindstone.

    BlackBerry Workbook.....doesn't grab me.

I too use my PB for work almost everyday, but I also use it for fun & recreation at home everyday.

Right. RIM's idea was to infer the sports reference (ie. football is HUGE) and then tie it back into the way company's use sports terminology in their daily "speak". "Team", "execute", "tactics", etc and so on. Sadly almost no one in the press picked up on it. All the early press was pretty much along the lines of dogging RIM for a "Play" tablet that had no apps/games.

In retrospect it back-fired on RIM (the name).
