I am told that all tablets like the playbook come unlocked so it shouldn't matter where I get one. That said here we the details:

    - Our work plan is through telus
    - I want to get a 4G PlayBook to test how it handles online Web based tools that we use in comparison to our current method of standard playbooks on bluetooth
    - I want a playbook off plan and don't need a SIM. I plan to test it through removongthe SIM from my phone and putting it in the playbook to test its data and we page handling of our system.

Anything I need know, and where do you recommend I get one community??

i am also interested in purchasing the 4G LTE PlayBook and live in the States. i reached out to AT&T to see if i got one would i be able to add it to my plan and they could not confirm if they can support it since its not a product they sell and it has not been tested on their network. then i read Kevins article and i think i'll wait for the 2nd version of the PlayBook.

hmmm... not bad. Also, apparently, the 4G PB at rogers is $99.99 now (but on a 3yr plan). $549.99 for it outright...

Thanks everyone a coworker found me one at a Rogers in Vancouver. They tell me they are not usually in stock but happen to have one. Otherwise I would have to order online through Telus or Rogers (same price).

I plan to test it by using my BlackBerry SIM card in it to test our company mobile applications and bench mark vs. Standard playbook on bluetooth with the BB.
