Hey, thanks everyone for all the informative replies! Really appreciate it. I gave the Nexus another try (latest release and the other browser) but the flash was still not working perfect. I tested out a surface and the online course I'm doing worked 100%. After some more research and reading all these posts I ended up ordering a Dell Venue 8 Pro.

Sure hope BlackBerry comes out with a tablet at some point...would so much rather stay with BlackBerry.

    Thanks again!

Does it have HDMI or anyway to use a large monitor with it?

It doesn't but there's an adapter that works with it. The Toshiba Encore 8 has one, but yes since it's windows it will work flawlessly with a monitor. And since it's full Windows 8 you can run your desktop programs on it

Reading further I find that the Dell Pro we are talking about has only the micro usb port. This can be used as an OTG host with the proper cable. It also is the only way to charge the battery. Treat this port very carefully. Would expect that a powered usb hub with four or so ports would be useful. As far as connecting to an external monitor via Miracast where a dongle is required to stick in the HDMI port of the monitor you could be looking at $50 bucks. No word on what latency might be, which is not too important where movies etc are involved, but which could be a killer if you are trying to use the big screen for Office document editing or preparation.

Get the Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet 2 Pro - its about $499 on MS onlineshopping
make sure you get the digitizer pen version, no need for a keyboard, but get a small BT mouse will make your life easier, HDMI, USB2, MicroCard slot to 64 gb,
on ebay the tablet colored covers go for $18
I use it every day, runs WIN 8.1 and I have Office 13 on it, it like a small laptop, with full Windows 8,1
just used it on my trip to California, use in the plane on GoGo WIFI, battery life is superb
I really was able to work all the way
Bought a Lenovo keyboard at MS store for $95
Lenovo will come out with a newer and faster processor

or buy the new Dell Venue 8 Pro or Dell Venue 11 Pro tablets, they will ship around December 31
the 11 inch should be around $600, 8 inch starting at $400
those Dell tablets have already the newer processor
go to a Microsoft store if one is close by
