Hello there CrackBerry folks,

This morning I was scrolling through all the new messages on Facebook and I suddenly noticed this message of BlackBerry asking people to come and check out the Z10 and BB10 in their BlackBerry Experience Center in Amsterdam. When I checked out the photo I saw (I think) a PlayBook running BB10.

I either have been sleeping or this is the first time I see BB10 running on a PlayBook and I can say for sure this photo has not been editted. I think the only way to find out is to go and see for myself haha.

So what do you guys think? Would you confirm it is BB10 on a PlayBook between the two Z10's?

You mean this? Pretty sure that's a BlackBerry Z10 mirrored onto a display (Notice how it's set up for portrait? Very few apps make use of landscape on the Z10) but hey, go have a look and report back. Maybe they managed to mirror the Z10 onto a PlayBook as well just for demo purposes but I sincerely doubt what you're looking at is a BlackBerry PlayBook running BlackBerry 10 in the way you hope it to be.

It would indeed be a huge surprise if it actually is a BB10 demo on the PlayBook. About the mirroring, as far as I know it is only possible to mirror the PlayBook's display on another device (signal out) and impossible to mirror a device's display on the PlayBook (signal in). I'm gonna try make some time to head over to the BB Experience Center in Amsterdam to see for myself.

In op's picture it looks like it could be a Playbook. I can just make out the two circles for camera and led on the right hand side of the maybe Playbook.

Unless it's just me really hoping. Good find op.

Too much reflection on that screen to be sure of anything. I don't think what we're seeing are the camera and LED from the PlayBook, the position seems off... But on the other (bottom?) bezel, it seems to have BlackBerry written. Again, too much glare to know for sure.

Well Bla1ze theory of a mirror is no good as the screen doesn't match either phone beside it. As for what may be the Blackberry branding and camera, they are in the right spots and too coincidental for it not to be the logo and camera in my opinion....I'm with op on this. I think it's a Playbook with BlackBerry10 running on it.


Another observation, could that be a whatsapp logo very top, middle of the screen?

Found a Youtube video from the BB Experience Center preview event. Go to 8:40 ish and you will see the Playbook with BB10 keyboard.



From the way it looks, it probably is just a BB10 demo video of sort played on Playbook. The keyboard seems to be identical to the one on Z10 and is taking up too much space for it to be a real BB10 for tablet.

Well there you have it. For all the naysayers screaming about if and when BB10 will hit the Playbook, apparently the answer is that it's already out- just not for everyone. Yet.

That article says nothing of the sort. It could just as easily mean PlayBooks deployed under the BB10 system and not necesserily PBs run ing BB10.

Hmmm... didn't pay the title any mind XD
Though, it's not impossible, I'd say it's much more likely that they're trialing BlackBerry's system for deploying devices with PlayBooks.

Regarding the OP, that's definitely a video/slideshow. At best, some sort of interactive demo if it is interactive. The UI density is way too high for a tablet.
