PC doesn't recognise my PlayBook

Any suggestions?

Version of Windows (presuming pc)? Have you installed the latest Desktop software? What does or does not happen?

Thanks for the reply. It's windows xp. I haven't installed anything I just hooked it up and looked for it as an external device

It did display that it was downloading drivers but nothing happened

1. Install Desktop Manager.
2. Connect PlayBook.
3. Monitor logs. For XP, I presume it is under %LOCALAPPDATA%\Research In Motion\... or %APPDATA%\...

There's your problem right there. In my case, before my computer recognized the Blackberry Playbook as an external drive I had to install the latest version of the Blackberry Desktop Software and run that. After doing that and configuring the settings, it all worked like a charm.

I'm really impressed with this. Just bought the blackberry for a bit of fun and the memory capacity. Now it's suddenly got my music from itunes and my weird Spanish movies uploaded. Easier to read than a phone and easier to hold than a large tablet
