Yep, I couldn't stand it any more ......... went online at The Source, they had the 32g model with a $ 50 leather case for $ 149.99 so I bought another one!

There was a line up the next day when I went to pick it up. About 30 minutes later it was my turn, the sales guy said I would have to wait until next week as they sold out completely. In the line up was a young lady with a baby, she bought their 64g model as this sales guy knew everything you needed to know to sell one of these things. He told her/me about Bridging, HDMI to your TV and remote controlling of your PB with your BB phone. He was selling them like hot cakes that day.

Fact is, I don't even need this thing, might not even open it up when I get it. But one feature has me pumped, it's the video conferencing, my wife and I travel a great deal, we will be able to video conference for free the whole time we are apart. Cool stuff this PB is!

My kids now have their mother's 16gb playbook after I bought her a 64gb to match my own at $269 CDN$. Then the Source in Canada had the 64gb PB on sale for $199. With Best Buys price matching policy beating the competitions lowest price by 10% on the difference.. I basically price adjusted my wife playbook at $192 before taxes. Insane!

God I am so happy right now!

If you can get your hands on a 64g PlayBook if you can. These prices for this model are unbelievable and it makes me sick cause I paid full price.

My concern is that the price of buggy whips also fell sharply.

Where did you get these super cheap buggy whips? I need to get one before they sell out!

Also bought another PlayBook for my kid...cheaper than a Nintendo..

In 1892 "Buggy whips started at 13, two for 25, and for 75 could be bought a real rawhide worth $1.25 of any man’s money." Modern buggy whips are still around Buggy Whip 6' with 4" drop & 9" removable popper Diamond grip & nylon wrapped shaft
Colour: Black $13.50. I just went to an inflation calculation site and 13 cents in 1892 becomes $13 today so the price didn't drop rapidly and in fact hasn't changed in 120 years

So what are we to conclude from these statistics? Probably that buggy whips are more enduring than a WiFi Playbook?

A statistician reports the price drop, an economist asks, why did it drop. What do they (the merchants or manufacturer) know that we do not??
