    Hey all,

I've noticed that my 32GB Playbook has gotten a little jumpy and laggy. Delays in registering the input to the keyboard, and I've noticed in some apps it seems to lag some. Then it will 'catch up' all the sudden.

I've done a few resets, but doesn't seem to resolve it. Anyone else notice this? Resolution?

I had this problem develop over time, especially after I added one Android game app.

I ended up backing everything up and doing a security wipe. I reloaded everything except that one game app and now the jumpiness, lag and other problems disappeared.

How much free storage space have you got?

    And how many sideloaded apps?

You could try clearing the browser cache?

Which options did you use - just clear cache? Or clear local storage.

I went through a period, a while back with similar symptoms, on one of my playbooks - I remember clearing either cache or local storage - I didn't clear everything, because I often can't be bothered with certain sites and having to login again.

I hate to recommend either a Security Wipe or Debrick since they entail the tedious and time-consuming process of BACKING UP and then restoring your data and media. But if the problem does not seem to resolve by other means that could be the way to check. You could also call Rim for support and see if they have suggestions.

The PB has a one year warranty to the original purchaser. It also has 90 free Tech support. I do not know how Rim deals with "quasi-tech support v. warranty"

To fix an issue, try these in order:

Restart using the Battery Icon and press Restart

Press and hold the Power button for 10-15 seconds. Then leave it for 20-30 seconds and see if it restarts.

    To REBOOT:
Press and HOLD all three keys for about 10 - 20 seconds: PowerOn, VolUp and VolDown. Start with the PowerButton. Keep holding past the 3-choice options screen. If you hear a shutter type sound, you've taken a Screen Shot and probably missed the PowerButton.

I cleared the cache only, same reason you had... Thanks for the reply!

So was I, but none of the other suggestions that I tried made any difference. The frustration drove me to extreme measures - and I say extreme because it took so much time to accomplish.

Thanks, Wongsky I've noticed the same thing with mine. Cleared the cache and local storage, and unless I'm experiencing a placebo effect, the browser's performance picked up dramatically. .

Wipe/restore fixed for me as well. It's been quite some time since I did it and haven't seen the symptoms since. Annoying: yes. Necessary: at least once IMO. Note: browser shows some lag at first but it goes away. Keyboard has not lagged since the first restore I did. I did a second one about 3 months ago but not because of lag. It was just a little spring cleaning I guess. Android apps started working better after.
