Very strange. I successfully upgraded my 16gb PB via Blackberry Desktop to OS2. The PB About tab now shows OS version as 2.0.0.7971. Yet the PB's Software Update tab tells me I need to upgrade to 2.0.0.7971. It also starts to download when I tap upgrade (which I cancelled).
Why doesn't my playbook Software Update function know that the OS is already upgraded? Any one else have this situation?
I run into this with Desktop Manager. I'll update my PB software but when I plug in to DM, it tells me to upgrade. What I've found is, if I do re-install through DM, it fixes the problem. But if you reinstall through DM, make sure it installs fully...you get a prompt that says "It is now safe to disconnect your device." But absolutely do not until the task bar window disappears.
