Was looking to see what this weeks special was and noticed all the prices are back to 499. Best buy, FutureShop, Staples.
Radio Shack 479 with 180$ instant rebate so if you guys are looking to buy this thing at a deal, I'm not sure there's much time left with Dev Con and OS2 being announced next week.
staples near my house has it for 299 might get at it today
Site shows 499. I'd get it if you were debating.
I was supposed to get the last 16g from bestbuy last week cuz I have a 180$ gift card I had totally forgotten about but they sold it (even though they said they had it on the side for me)
I'm debating ordering one online from bestbuy and have them price match and use my gift card. I believe they have to beat the difference by 10% which means they should sell it to me for 279.

Yeah I think I will. Site that i see shows and then i put my zipcode and it has the 200 discount instant. I am debating gonna go check it out today
sears flyer that came today says $250 off as long as you buy a full price case for $49 so a convoluted way of saying $299 with a free case. Online sears shows full price.
I just called bestbuy, they will not honor the 180$ instant rebate portion as it falls under the "mail in rebate" clause apparently. Doesn't make sense as the rebate is immediately applied to your purchase price but anyway.
The universe doesn't want me to get a PB from bestbuy using my gift card at a deal apparently.

I see this
BlackBerry PlayBook™ tablet - 16GB with Leather Convertible Case
$299.98
Save $250.00
Sears Regular Price: $549.98.
Now $299.98
until October 23, 2011
BlackBerry PlayBook™ tablet - 16GB
Item Number:
If Sold Separately
$499.99
So I think that leather case is included with the 299 deal.
Best buy, Futureshop and Staples all at up at 499$.
Radio shack sale ends tomorrow and is currently at 479$ with 180$ instant rebate (299$) which cannot be used for price matching
Sears has it at 549$ with 250$ rebate(299$) and comes with a leather case ending oct 23rd
TheSource has it at 299$ ending Oct 31st.
I got a gift card at best buy so I'm gonna use and have them price match and I got 14 days to return it if I choose to do so.
I've been waiting for the OS2 announcement but I'm worried that all the prices may return to 499$ across the board with the major update so I figure why not get it now and if OS2 is a flop then return it.
I just received an email from Staples. The Playbook is still $299. It shows $499, but when you add it to your shopping cart, there is an instant $200 rebate.
I predict this will not be the last time the PlayBook goes on sale or even a price drop in the near future.......IMO
Agreed. I think we will see another big sale for Black Friday. Also $299 seems to be where the 7" tablet pricing is going at the moment. Even if OS 2.0 is a hit, it won't justify a $499 price tag anymore.
Cspire, a small, local wireless company located in Mississippi sold them for $99, but only for a couple of days and have now gone back to the $299 price. You must either buy in store or online and have delivered to an address within their service area which is basically all of Mississippi, Memphis, TN and Mobile, AL. Phone sale ONLY to existing Cspire customers.

Ah... didn't see the "existing" small print. makes sense.

LOL, it was still a great deal IF you knew someone in Mississippi (or anywhere within their limited service area) that could take the delivery for you and forward the package to you. I did and managed to buy 2 of them before the deal ended just hours later. It was a nice score!
