My OS 2 7111 was installed without doing a security wipe, so today I decided to do a wipe and reinstall the latest OS2. Then I found that I can't do it any more even though I registered the pin 4 hours ago. It usually takes only a few minutes before I receive the OS update.

Is it because this is Sunday or is it because they are getting ready for official release?

I've tried ten times. It's trashed right now.

The emulator doesn't work very well with Android apps, and I *NEED* it...so I have to wait for the beta to work again <_<; I'm on 1.0.8

I did a security wipe yesterday and tried to register for the OS 2 beta to recover some files. I tried like 4 times and still no update. I think at this point, I'm just gonna stop trying and wait for the official release.

They were having issues with the beta registration site last week, but it was supposedly resolved. You could try the alternate registration on the Native site if you haven't already tried it:

Not saying it will work, but worth a try. This is the Android beta link:

i think it's awfully ironic that RIM would start giving away playbooks to developers but then have the beta unavailable...

Also giving free PBs to DevCon Europe attendees next week, don't know if the server update/maintenance/issues are related or not.

^THAT^ would be cool, but somehow I am doubtful it will happen at DevCon.

Why not? I frankly have a harder time believing they WOULDN'T distribute OS 2 to DevCon attendees.

It's disabled because the official OS2 started rolling out an hour ago.

... OK not really. But I wonder how many people are about to check for updates lol.

I guess they are trying to roll out the OS2 then, that's fine, I can live with 1.0.8 for a few more weeks.
