The best way to fix it is to look at the contact info of the name that is appearing for all the SMS messages. I have nearly 800 contacts and only one was causing issues. Once I fixed the entry, everything worked. YMMV.

Thanks, That did the trick

Hopefully the new Bridge update will fix all these issues.
SMS sender name missing on playbook bridge
Hi,
I have a different problem with the playbook sms bridge...
I can send and recieve OK from the playbook, but the list of recieved sms's is not displayed the same as on my bb phone.
If the sender is in my phone contacts list, then the name of the sender is displayed on the playbook (this is good). But if the sender is not in my phone contacts list, then the sender's number is displayed (not good). This behavour is different from the phone, where the senders name is displayed reagrdless of whether the sender is in my contact list, or not.
The sender's name is obviously a field in the recieved sms, but not being displayed on the playbook.
I know someone will suggest that I add all the senders to the phone contact list, but I do not want to do this. I get a lot of junk sms's - i don't want these in my contacts. I just want the playbook display to be the same as the phone display.
Any ideas?
