nop not yet at least. You need something to unarchive it, so a stand alone app or a feature.

Post a feature request to one of the devs of one of the file managers. Pretty sure one of them will add it eventually...

I have been using my laptop to open the files and the wireless file sharing to then pass them to the PB -
A solution but not the one you are after

That's the only one i found yet...

I've been pestering the Files & Folders dev to include it in his app too

If you have a BlackBerry phone, this is what I do:
I send the file to my Bold, then I unpack it with this app:
Check out Rock File Manager! You can find it at Free Rock File Manager - Download Rock File Manager - Free Apps from BlackBerry App World

After it's complete, I send the unpacked file back to my PlayBook. Hope this is helpful.

You can either use a converted Android app (e.g. ES File Explorer or AndroZip - don't know if either are in the App World, or if they need sideloaded), or you can use DosBox and find the DOS version of rar.exe and run it (this way is a lot more inconvenient than a converted Android app, as you have to use command line instructions, but it does work)

Now I use "Uncompressor"available for the PlayBook for some time now in BlackBerry App World.
