My PlayBook is faster now than it was when I bought it
The PlayBook is king
You are full of itripe if you think the iPad beats PB
My mommy doesn't love me and I need some attention
Don't know if this is what is going on, I'm just saying, you know, it kinda looks like that....:cant-watch:
You know all the apps still work right? lol. Along with all the other solutions offered. Government turnaround on technology is generally always fairly slow. I might have no use for the PlayBook any more but it's still applicable throughout Enterprise environments for their often rather simple and purpose driven uses.
Heck, the company that delivers supplies to my parents catering company still uses them. Why? Because they only use it for one inventory app, they're cheap and it works, there's no need to update to anything else because it serves their purpose.

I put digital sheet music on the playbook adobe, or do a screen shot. That way I can make the scores as large as I want.
I don't HATE my Playbook and I use it every day, but even I recognize limitations to it. It honestly really depends on your needs and your uses. You cannot say "other than X, what can't the Playbook do", because for some, X is an important program/feature. Web surfing is fairly slow on this thing, even in Origami browser. Email works, but it is slow as well with certain features missing (mark all as read). For my basic needs, it works well enough that I wouldn't want to move on to something else until this thing breaks down. For my daughter, it used to be a decent tablet for her to play games on, but as she's grown, so have her interests and the ipad is now her tablet of choice. For some, being able to chromecast is a great feature (which we do use from the ipad) and that is something which will never come to the Playbook. I'm not ready to throw it out because of this limitation, but it would have been a "nice to have". Meh, as a basic tablet, it works, but not everyone is looking for a basic tablet.
two words well maybe three , piece of junk
Spoiled brats respond like that.
I'm not spoiled, i can afford to buy better so i do,
Let it go, OP. Why do you care so much about what others think? Frankly, your challenge to readers doesn't make sense: say things that the PB can't do, but don't list specific items that you've already pointed out?
I really like the PB and get a lot of use out of it, but people have a right to choose the tech that works for them. Just as we have a right to like it, so too do others have a right to hate/dislike it.
For the record, I tested out some newer Android tablets at a store, recently. The Nexus 7 is VERY nice and I'd consider it as a replacement, but my PB is still going strong so I'll use it until it gives out. What does it do that the PB doesn't? Nothing, technically, but lots more functionally.
I hope you don't lose actual sleep over such trivial matters.
some people cant even buy one. Just saying. Be grateful.
I am very grateful for what i have worked hard for, but the op asked for haters only to respond, and i am one a hater that is, just saying.
Oh you're so rich. I am lost in admiration for you, truly...

Well that's nice, but I didn't say I was rich. I said I could afford to get better.

That is not how it works and never has done. It's simply reminiscent of iPhone users who respond to those who don't get an iPhone by saying they clearly can't afford 'better'.
I can afford a better, newer tablet too. I don't currently see the value in doing so, my financial status is utterly irrelevant.

I'd love to respond so I could be like what seems to be the majority...ok, that's a lie. I don't care what the haters say. It's a fantastic tablet. I bought 2 64GB new for $269 each several years ago and was and still am very pleased. I could not justify spending more for a tablet with less storage and functionality. Bridge - HELLO?!! Also love the video chat with my children when I'm traveling for work.
Struggling to see the purpose behind this thread.
Three year old tablet currently used by enthusiasts (inc. myself) and virtually nobody else.
'Hate' is a strong word where few people could actually care less.
"Hey, HP Touchpad haters!"
Erm...
Posted via CB10
What's to hate? It's a discontinued tablet like the HP TouchPad, HP Slate, Kindle whatever. It probably works fine for whatever people have been using tablets for as of several years ago. Plenty of people use tablets that are several years old so there's nothing wrong with it. I don't hate flip phones either. People make phone calls with them and text.
love my PB, but its giving me fits right now trying to activate it on my BES10
Yessssss. 44 posts over the past day and not one. NUCA NADA NO-ONE responded to my initial challenge of. """""what can ant newer tablet do that a Playbook can't do""".??? So I am not going to upgrade to a comparable 2014 Ford Focus Type tablet like nexus when my 1967 CLASSIC MUSTANG ie BLACKBERRY PLAYBOOK suffices and works. PB gets me to my final destination albeit with less whistles and maybe a bit less flashy and perhaps one minute slower. But dependable...

You do that. May you have hours of fun. Not aware anyone tried to stop you using it

Posting a three-word review with no supporting information reflects an intellect in the cockroach range.
playbook can't do skype nexus 7 can.
Nobody responded because it's too easy.
Also playbook can't do sms but nexus 7 can.
PlayBook can't recognise when I open email on my phone, stays as new mail on PB.
Playbook doesn't even have working Facebook app.
Yes the browser would be fine, IF it wasn't so slow.
It might work for you, that's fine, but you don't see other people creating threads like 'Why the Hell does the PlayBook work for you' now do you...
