My playbook dropped my my table, and i got a set of white lines. They disappear when I press the power button and come back when I turn it on. What do I do?? I just bought it yesterday.

Return it to the store and trade it for a new one.

Try taking it in for warranty replacement. Hopefully they won't be able to identify any physical damage.

I live in the UK and bought this from a company that ships it from the US...would I be able to have it replaced as easily?

Edit: Also, is it possible to wipe the OS from the desktop? Since I'll be sending it back, I'd like to remove all my data from it

The white lines have happened out of the box. I would contact RIM and tell them it is broken. Not mentioned you dropped it and see what they say.

Have they no means of finding out it dropped? I dont want the 'abuse and neglect' part of the warranty to catch me out It fell on its own -.-

    Try this.

    Turn off your PlayBook
Start DM and wait for it to load
    Plug in your Playbook -usb
You should get an error message - hit update

It's not a wipe but a debrick - may work.

You can press both the volume buttons and the power button(all three at the same time) and hold them for about 15 seconds.

Holding the three buttons for 15 seconds is the same as Alt-Sh-Del on your device.
