Kudos to NBC and the BBC and my Playbook! Though Comcast-Xfinity does not support the Playbook for streaming, I just watched the entire Jumping Event Final 2.5hr from the NBC Site. Produced by the BBC, not a horse was skipped for commercials or a break for another sport. Having attended 2 Olympics in Mexico and Canada, I can honestly say it was just a hair less exciting than being there! There must be others enjoying the Olympics as much as myself.

Enjoying it a lot myself. Sadly not with my Playbook. Over the Air HD channels along with ctvolympics.ca Silverlight site w/ a Home Theater PC & my BB Torch w/ Olympics App.

Lucky for me I live in the UK so I have BBC coverage on (no commercials ) from the moment I wake till the moment I sleep and if I don't want to watch the event they are showing I can select any sport to watch. Playbook is always on BBC website for catching up on anything I missed bridged at work as no wifi

You would think that with CTV being a Canadian network and RIM being Canadian company that viewing video on a Playbook would be a done deal. But no such luck unless we use an Ipad because of the Silverlight.

iPad and iOS as a whole does not support silverlight. I'm fairly certain they would have an app for this, most likely streaming encoded with the H.264 Codec which the PlayBook can play if there was an app made for it.

You would think that wouldn't you? Just another example of CTV's bias. Canada AM makes constant reference to iProducts - to say nothing of their so called "tech specialist" who is a HUGE iFan. Sad really.

I watched ping pong (Table Tennis) for the first time and must take back jokes I made in the past about it being an Olympic sport. What I played was ping pong but these athletes are playing some bad azz table tennis. Hats off to them for giving me an education. Wish I could have streamed it from my PlayBook.
