... everybody is dying for a release date and we dont have one yet but at devcon a senior rim official is quoted as saying "within two weeks".

If you dont want to scroll through the forums to find it here is the article...

    Devcon

So by definition, within means anytime between now and fourteen days from now.

I predict a delay... Pushing it beyond February. To buggy still I bet.

Not trying to be downer, just realistic.

I would bet my playbook it doesn't go beyond February,in fact I think we will see it by the end of next week. It's nice to see we will be getting a native file manager on os2. I was wondering about that until now, sweet!

Why do people believe this blather? Anyone can say a senior member or manager or employee of some company told them something. According to my sources, a senior member of the Obama adminstration has said that Obama will announce tomorrow he has been in contact with space aliens. Do you believe that is true?

There is no date until it is announced....

I believe it because it's much more fathomable that playbook os2 will be released within two weeks than it is that Obama will announce tomorrow that he talks to aliens.

I think we should set the timer for 38 days and have a 38 day countdown. That way, when the countdown is over, we'll know when 38 days have passed…

Was that two weeks in normal time or two weeks in RIM time. According to RIM PlayBook has been on the market for only three and a half weeks. RIM time is still being studied by top science people from all over the world to see how the time relates to normal time.

It might be that RIM is preparing it.....

Of course he was talking about two "European" weeks, which with all of their paid days off could mean some time around the end of August.
