B) fuel is lighter than water.

Therefore based on my theory (untested) of the Earth gravitational pull v's the phases of the tide at a given point, when those psychopathic pain enforcers (know as shooters) push that thing and the boat disappears from underneath me suddenly, if I don't drop exactly -27.6ft below deck level before establishing positive climb then I don't have enough petrol for the trip!

Na! They ave these likkle guns that are actually quite big everywhere that are clever. They pick up on incoming aliens and starts to shooting at them. You get used to the sound cause its like a safety barrier and they very rarely miss. Quiet good they is?
