Had no trouble setting it up, bridging with my tour, connecting to my wifi, etc.
But for the life of me I cannot find any help on navigating the message app.

Finally got my developer PB... sweet!
Just waiting for the software update to finish up. Can't wait to load it up with apps.
I got mine on Friday...16 GB WiFi model, running the 1.0.1.1710 software.
So far, so good, but is is s-o-o-o-o missing business apps. No file manager, can't store contacts and calendar independent of the phone (you have to keep the phone connected via bluetooth. When you disconnect, say bye-bye to your information!).
The apps so far are just lame games (c'mon, guys, I am 59 years old and don't have time for that kind of bovine excrement!). Also, I don't do crappy music, don't like to give up all my personal data to FaceBook or Yahoo, and I could care less about non-standard apps (WTF is Kobo? Where is the Kindle App that Amazon promised?).
What's good? Size/Form factor. Once you figure out how to work things, it really does well. The operating system is to die for. The browser is terrific. The graphics are out of this world.
I would wait for:
** More apps. Be patient. The iPad did not have thousands the day they launched, either.
** A file manager.
** A GPS system (Promised, not here yet).
** The ability to connect external storage to it.
Othere than that, on day 6 I am loving it!

Got my 32GB PlayBook on 4/22/2011! :)
Just picked up a 16g for work purposes, like it a lot, i'm not concerned about quirks or apps.
I've had mine since April 14th and have loved it ever since I opened up the box! It is fast and very responsive and will only get better! Great Job rim!

I received my Playbook on Friday 32 GB
I ordered from Best Buy ..judging from other comments there should be a thread about how terrible Best Buy is ...when I went to check out the PB before receiving mine it was tossed on a display left locked in Tetris and nobody knew anything about it
anyhow before taking my PB to work i invested in a Verizon Wifi and it has made all the difference !
PB fits comfortably in my scrub pocket I can look up meds ,procedures ,labs etc in a hesrtbeat on internet via Medscape
I have not stopped using it ..my wish list is like the others I have read ...hoping to video chat ,would like to.rename pics and would like to.print via wifi
but I am happy to wait and not at all.disappointed .
Well guys, Yesterday I finally received my playbook. I had a birthday on the 22nd and that is when I was hoping to receive the device, but none of the stores around had 32 or 64 gig playbooks so it had to be ordered. I received my 32 gig playbook yesterday in the mail straight from rim and so far im extremely happy with it. Other than a lack of apps its an amazing device. Already been taking it to class and taking notes on it. Go rim for releasing such a great device.
Woohoo! I got mine on the 25th.
At first I was quite disappointed with the lack of features, but after I successfully bridged it with my 9780 things were looking great. I can't wait for the updates to roll in.
Official and proud owner of the 64G. Still in Wifi limbo, trying to find a reason to add it on to my Verizon account. I'm going to see how it is just jumping on signals.
I got it on April 25th and am enjoying in completely.
so i'm having some 'issues' with charging. i know it will only say 98% on a full charge, but the first day i charged it (overnight) it only went to 96%. then the second full charge it only went to 95%, and after last night's charge, it's at 94%. anyone else seeing this? should i exchange it? or is it a software bug?
Got a little 16gb one here, I bought from Amazon so I don't have to wait for the UK release. Paid a little over the odds I'm sure, but I really wanted this thing!
Didn't know what to expect on the morning it was delivered, what with the huge backlash that's going on right now. If anything, I suppose my expectations were lowered - maybe not a bad thing after the hype of the PB 'winning the tablet war' before it was even released...
Anyway pretty much addicted to it right now, love the powerful speakers for such a small machine. Watching videos is gorgeous, as is browsing the web. That's pretty much what I bought it for, consuming media. I have my 9700, laptop, desktop and notebook for when I need to get stuff done.
One thing I do hope for however is a way to import photos straight from my camera to the PB, you can do it with a 10 eBay port for the iPad 2. If anyone knows of any solutions, I'd love to hear them because I'm really impressed with viewing images on the PB.
I got mine last night at the PlayBook-Chicago event! It was a lot of fun, the DJ was awesome, and the food was great. But mostly, I brought along my two Android friends and they walked away saying that the PlayBook was definitely a much stronger tablet than some of the reviews had been letting on.
I haven't had a chance to play with it, since I had to do a crap ton of driving (I currently live 90mi North of Chicago, and had to show up to work today) but I can't wait to try it out. So now its sitting in my bag, next to my work desk, taunting me...
Just got me a 32GB and I am not too impressed with the lack of some BB items like autocorrect for typing etc. The device itself is nice and I like the speakers a lot. Also what is the deal with the tabs not playing the music when you switch to another open tab? There needs to be a fix for that. I am stil debating keeping it. And then there is GPS, what is the deal with that?
You can change that in the setting panel - Go to General, and make sure the Application Behavior is set to "showcase"
That only affects multitasking between apps. The browser tabs currently don't multitask.
Ah, I believe I misread his question - my bad. I jumped the gun out of an eagerness to help someone :$
I got my playbook!!! Finally!!! I am so happy with it. i got the 32gb and havent had any issues with it. :D
The deciding factor was i could bridge by phone to the playbook.
I have been watching the playbook since it was announced and finally got mine. I went with the 32g cause i store alot of files and plan on using it to take notes while appraising commercial and agrigultural properties!
iPad who?????? i've had my PB for about a week....haven't put it down....luv it..
little late as i have had mine for a week now and i am thoroughly impressed. i need netflix, blockbuster on demand, calendar, and a way to add podcasts. and since i finally got 6.0 on my 9700 i feel like i have the perfect gadgets. Luv it.
