Got my PlayBook yesterday.....again. Had 1 launch day, was not impressed, returned it.

Missed it, got a new Bold 9900, needed a PlayBook to go with it. VERY happy now.

Hopefully you'll keep it. The OS is in a much better shape than launch day (I've had one since launch), and hopefully 2.0 will take it up to the much needed level....

Got mine yesterday from Staples ($249 after rebate). I looked at all the tablets that were out and was leaning towards the ASUS EEE Pad Transformer or the Galaxy TAB with iPad 2 a remote possibility.

Kept coming back to the PlayBook demo at Best Buy and Staples due to how intuitive an fluid the OS was, the size, and the build quality.

So far, I have ZERO buyers remourse. Quiet the opposite. I feel like I would have made a huge mistake getting one of the other tablets.

We'll see how I feel once the honeymoon is over and the new tech gadget "glow" wears off. So far, I'm blown away by how good the product is (the browser is awesome) in spite of all the negative press.

I'm sure it's not the product for everyone, but for me, it's perfect so far.

Got mine today at Best Buy. I was able to get the price match for the $100 instant savings and $50 off the $100 mail-in rebate from Staples on a 64 GB PB. I also had $125 BB Reward Zone certificates making my net price $425 before tax.

The pb has hdmi out - so it can be connected to an hd tv. There is some form of hp adapter that folks have used to connect it to vga devices.

Yeah, that Staples deal was sweet, especially if you opened and used a Staples credit card online and got a $50 credit back after your first purchase for a final price of $199+tax like I did. Staples ended that $249 after rebate price deal last Tuesday and raised the price to $299 after rebate, but the $50 credit back deal is still on as of today, so you can still get one for a final price of $249 that way.

I love the Playbook! 64gb may be overkill but at 499.99 comes with free case and screen protector it's a deal I couldn't refuse. It's such an amazing device and the portability is so welcoming compared to the iPad's size. I can't wait to see what OS2 brings...so excited!

just got mine from sears (16gb) for what i feel is a good deal. Its great for mobile browsing, but thats about it. I use it as a standalone unit and i really dont understand how they still dont have basic things like autocorrect.

To everyone who praises the **** outta this thing has got to be the definition of a fanboy. You cannot convince me that people actually use the pb as a productive device. The appstore is an absolute joke, and basic functionality is not yet in place.

I am coming from an ipad and ipad2, which i had return due to horrible backlight bleeding. I love the pb form factor and excellent build quality. the screen is also perfect, which is what i am most anal about. Also, i love the pb os and feel that it has incredible potential, but currently the ipad blows it away.

Picked mine up from Staples on Friday (on my way TO work - I was just too excited to wait), and have been loving it. I've been using it all throughout the day, every chance I get. Since I leave it bridged to my phone all day too, my phone's battery only goes down about one bar now (since I'm hardly ever on it).
