The (Official) BlackBerry PlayBook Mini Keyboard is Great!-imageuploadedbycb-forums1384612165.904632.jpg

These things are hard to find, but I recently managed to find a new one on eBay and place the winning bid of $100 + $20 shipping from Canada.

    Worth. Every. Penny.

It has breathed new life into my PlayBook. I type blog posts and emails, take notes, and the mouse trackpad has come in extremely handy.

I'll use my PB until it dies or becomes unusable.

I loved that thing when I first bought it (full price too ), but haven't used it in a long while.

P.S. You should get similar functionality on a BB10 device if you have one! (Useful for when you hook it up to a TV/display and want to control it remotely.)

I had one and loved it. I got an iPad mini and the Logitech Ultrathin keyboard and it is much better as a keyboard, but I yearn for the mouse!

Yes it is a great accessorie for the PlayBook, I've had mine for about a year and use it every day. There was some website (forgot name), that was selling them for about $45 (brand new in the box) including shipping, got info from here on Crackberry.

I agree wholeheartedly with your sentiments OP. The BlackBerry Bluetooth Mini-Keyboard And Case make the BlackBerry PlayBook a great notebook computer substitute. If you miss a physical mouse I recommend the Logitech V470 Bluetooth Mouse.

Hands down my favorite BlackBerry accessory second only to the gateway.

You know whats really sad? Android and google play get more love on crackberry than BlackBerry and BlackBerry world

Seconded. The V470 does work well, when I have the Mini Keyboard with that BT mouse hooked up to the PB it functions as a pretty decent word processing/browsing device for light travel when I don't want to bring the laptop.

I use my spare PB as a Kalesoft video player hooked up to the kitchen LED TV. That TV doesn't have audio-out to hook into the sound system there so the PB solves this problem. The keyboard with touchpad makes a great remote (gotta pause that movie when going out to tend the barby!) I've managed to score another 32GB PB today for only $45 so that will solve the problem with the 3rd floor TV to hook into surround sound. Now, if I can score a fairly priced keyboard for that one, I'll be all set! LOL

I use the keyboard extensively at the cottage for emails, etc when I'm bridged. The keyboard layout is a touch weird for fast touch-typing but if I slow down, it's OK.
