But I think I'm pretty well covered.

Does anyone even use them anymore? I have all I need right here.
    (until I get my new BB10 phone :-P )

A relief from all the negatively that has plagued the PlayBook forums lately.

My set up is similar. I have the Toshiba in the middle, PB to the left, 8530 to the left, Z10 to the right and 9900 to the right. All plugged into the Toshiba

This is my throw together for the evening. Although I daily use all these plus another tablet right here on my desk, I'm normally a bit more organized than this.

I know where mine is, and I use it (and the PB) all the time. Tablets are great for consuming information, but I find it much more productive to 'create' on the PC. It's just too cumbersome on the tablet.

I agree. It will be a long time before I can create a slideshow (for dvd eventuall) on a tablet when I have 500 to 1,000 digital images. Quite frankly, any serious typing on a smaller than standard qwerty keyboard is just not that comfortable. And I'm sure there will be folks that will disagree - no problem. To each his/her own. Opinions and comfort differ among people - just ask Madame X!!!!

Lately I've been using my desktop primarily to make digital copies of my DVD collection. As much as I love my PlayBook, it can't do that. When I'm at my desk at home I prefer using the desktop to manage email, forums, websites, do video editing, manage photos, etc. because it's still the single most efficient way for me to get the greatest amount of things done with one tool. Dual-monitor setup, Rosewill mechanical keyboard with MX-Blue switches, optical mouse - there are just no adequate substitutes (for me) for UI and user input as far as mobile devices go. But I hate being tethered to my desk all the time.

I look forward to the day when I can have one smartphone or tablet-sized device that will be powerful enough to do everything. It would be an excellent communication and content consumption device on the go, but then I could dock it with a connected monitor, keyboard, mouse, external drive, etc. and enjoy a full desktop experience.

You just need a Z10 or Q10 to make that setup perfect.

Until full BlackBerry Bridge functionality is restored for BlackBerry 10 smartphones the user experience of diminished compared to the BlackBerry PlayBook and BlackBerry 5/6/7 smartphones.
