    For various reasons, I couldn't wait for BB10 in switching carriers and had to go with a non-BB phone for the moment. I still have my Playbook.

    My 9810, even on wifi, immediately stopped recognizing my BB ID. The wifi only Playbook lasted a week before deciding my BB ID was no good. Is there a way, without paying extra to a carrier, of getting my BB ID functioning again? Maybe running BES10 on my desktop PC?

    What exactly is the error msg? Stop recognizing? What does that mean? Does it say password error?

    Yesterday, the BB Beta zone did not recognize my username/password and I know it was right. So I "forgot password" and re-entered it. This morning Appworld kept telling me my bbid/password was not right. Again, I went the "forgot password" prompt and entered it. So maybe rim is playing with things????

    F2 describes my issue to a T. Except I didn't try the "forgot password" thing. Tonight, it tells me I have no network connectivity. So, I'm apparently dealing with the fact I no longer have a BIS account with a carrier. My Galaxy Tab wifi works fine.

    Doesn't make sense for the pb. Some people only have a pb and no bb.

    I believe you can have a bbid even if you don't own a bbphone. You need one for the pb, itself. When I went the "forgot password" route, both accounts required my email address and sent a link to reset the password. In each case I followed the link and reset the passwords to the ones I know they had.
