So here I am - a big BB fan, even returned a samsung tab 7.7 with oled display to get my playbook which i received tihs afternoon.

now, got started, entered my bb credentials and but can't activate this damn thing - telling me that it can't connect to the update server. error codes i have seen: 3000, 3001, or 2011..

are the servers down, is my blackberry defect - what do i do??? very frustrating.. was so looking forward to using it this weekend..

hmm never heard of those errors. You are connected to the net? You do need wifi to activate it....

The servers were down, yesterday or sometime over the weekend. Let's hope it works.
