Nexus App transfers files between Playbooks when USB is broken
One of my two Playbooks USB is broken, so I haven't been able to load files into it AT ALL. Bluetooth didn't work for me.
I just purchased Nexus app. It transfers files, music, and videos easily between my two Playbooks using wifi.
It is new and temporarily very inexpensive. Grab it if you want to transfer between two Playbooks! Free trial too.

Why couldn't you use wifi to transfer files from your PC to your PB?

Just a side note.. I think Dukto a free app ported by xsacha will also allow you to do the same..
between two Playbooks and anything else that runs Dukto If i'm not mistaken..

I'll have to try that. This way is much faster between Playbooks directly. And, 99 cents is almost free.
I should add - It is possible to transfer between two Playbooks with same name.

No thanks, I'll just use file sharing over WiFi. Not, "almost free", not "temporarily inexpensive". Simply Free!

Nexus has been around for quite awhile now. It's a must have app if you have more than one PlayBook at home or in the office. While there are other ways to transfer files, Nexus is the easiest and fastest Imo. Indeed a great application.

In my opinion Nexus is easier for non-Teckie to use. Well worth 99 cents. Actually I use computer Laplink for large transfers. I haven't figured how to get it to work over wifi. Great & fast with usb to two PB with computer.

It's not difficult. First find the ip address of your PB- Settings/About/Network (from drop down menu). Copy down the bold numbers under IPv4- may look something like this- 192.168.0.101 Then, from the Start Menu of your PC- in the search box type \\192.168.0.101 (or whatever) Hopefully, you'll get a hit- click on it. Then click Media, and you'll be in. You can also access your PC from your PB using Ghost Commander (free in app world) or ES File Explorer or X_Plore (both free, both need to be sideloaded). Whichever way you go, you'll first need to turn on wifi file sharing on your PB- Settings/Storage and Sharing.
