Hello all. I am a newbie here and I have 2 short questions.

When do you think the promised playbook os update will be out...based on prior stated release times for many bb items, it is a guess...and, has anyone tried a bluetooth keyboard ( full sized ) and how well did they work....please offer a brand.

Q1: Feb 17th seems to be the consensus. There are differing opinions, but most of us seem to be agreeing on that date.

Q2: I've used a nice little Microsoft Bluetooth keyboard that works great with my PB.

1- February 21. Just a wild-a$$ guess.

2- I tried this keyboard Amazon.com: Bluetooth HID Wireless Keyboard Mouse Control for PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone 4, PDAs: Electronics, but it doesn't work very well. Connection is spotty and inconsistent. But some folks have had good luck with some. Use the search utility to find other threads about 'bluetooth keyboard' in this forum.

Q 1. is anyone's guess. All we can do is speculate.

Q 2. I'm using this one. I like it, though I would prefer a larger keypad. It's pretty light, keyboard is all encased so no foodlies/dust/etc. can get in.

I'm waiting for the official keyboard/mouse/combo. Sort of takes away from the whole experience when ya hafta lug around a keyboard and mouse seperately, IMO.

February 17th is the most common date that has been on the boards, but it seems odd as it is a Friday, I've pencilled in Feb 21st, but I'll be happy whenever it hits the streets. Hope you enjoy your playbook as much as everyone else here. Welcome!

With the coming os you should be able to use your blackberry keyboard with remote control features. Providing you own a bb phone.

Q1: all we know is this month!
Q2: I've been using an Apple wireless keyboard works great, feels nice, but looks like the remote function on the bb phones will make that obsolete sometime this month

Hi, if you are referring to style, i play a poor blue grass, but prefer a folk style. If you mean brand i play a Deering.
