An answer to what question specifically?
To support, or not to support the PlayBook, that is the question.

    We need confirmation either way.

Even if Blackberry did come out with a new playbook, would anyone actually buy it? Blackberry botched the launch of the original so bad that even its excellent hardware was not enough to save it from being a financial failure. How would Blackberry win back developers after they got burned the first time? Blackberry had one shot at winning a meaningful share of the tablet market. They blew it. They need to focus on not going out of business. Maybe in ten years, if they are still around, they can try again.

Will contact again Monday. I know this will not surprise you, but I have had problems getting more information.

Oh, don't let my slightly cynical tone confuse you into thinking that I do not wish this project well.
The secrecy/mystery, however, is something I could gladly do without...

I'm not saying it's real or not, I'm just providing information that I've seen online. The picture is not the same dimensions as the screen rez that it shows there, so it seems to be a little sketchy. But we'll see.

Take that with a shaker, not a grain of salt. I'll believe in a new BlackBerry tablet when I can order one.

I still have my playbook and use it quite often. The only thing that to me as a consumer was the fact the mini usb could only be used as a charger and not data transfer, and the lack of the use of a mini sd card for memory

To prove the pics are not faked, here's the link to one of the results on HTML5test's website- HTML5test - How well does your browser support HTML5?

HOWEVER, HTML5test's website doesn't necessarily get their info right. I posted these pics yesterday in another thread, and this is what they said I was running when I took the test with my playbook using Maxthon and Dolphin Browsers, respectively.

It's proof that the pic wasn't faked, i.e, photoshopped. As I indicated, it's not proof that the info contained in the pic is accurate.

Indeed, but a user agent can be easily and rather convincingly spoofed. I am not saying this is a fake, BTW, stranger things have happened, but caution would seem advisable based on the "evidence".

Could still be faked or at least photoshopped by combining parts of several legitimate pictures. Of course the boys at the company could fake it starting from scratch.

It could be photoshopped, but why go through the hassle if you don't need to. The second pic I posted could have been photoshopped, or I could have just followed the link that I provided and then pushed two buttons on my Playbook. Which do you think that I did?.

Far from me to criticize your operation. We started out talking about some one elses picture .It could have been photoshopped. incidentally there is confusion on screen size and pixels among these pictures. Don't know what device you are running your tests on. Is it a standard Wifi playbook or is it the phone version?

My Playbook is wifi only, but I think that you're missing the point. The first two pics are not tests that I ran. Rather, they show the results that others have gotten using what are purpoted to be Playbooks running OS 10. The tests that I actually ran on my Playbook were the third and fourth pics, which show numbers of 187 and 207 respectively, and I posted these only to show that the test doesn't necessarily get things right. These tests were run on my Playbook using Maxthon and Dolphin Browsers running inside my Playbook's android runtime, and as you can see, the test is completely wrong as to what device I was using ( the second test was done using Dolphin with the user agent set to "desktop").

Now, maybe I should note, that if you visit the HTML5test website, you'll see that the ONLY browser currently out there that can achieve the numbers showing in the fist two pics (namely 500 and 504) is the Chrome desktop browser. So, either it is possible to fake the numbers when running the test or someone is using Chrome desktop while mimicking the Playbook. Why someone would do this or how easy it would be to do, I don't know. A third possibility exists, of course, and maybe only remotely so, but it may be that something else is going on here.
